Leg kicks in Aikidō are called keri. This is the substantive form of the verb kick (keru). The word is often inflected into geri in compound words like mawashigeri.
Les coups de pieds sont nommés keri, c’est la forme substantive du verbe donner un coup de pied (keru). Le mot subît une inflection dans les mots composés, comme mawashigeri.
The left part is the kanji for leg 足. The middle character is the kanji for capital 京.
La partie gauche est le kanji pour le pied 足. La partie centrale est le kanji pour capitale 京.

In Aikidō, throws are called nage. This is the substantive form of the verb throwing (nageru).
