Women in Western Art

A nice morphing of women in western art found by Anne. The thing that struck me is how much face esthetics are stable over time. The models share a soft and round face, which seems to me different from the face of the average current top-model. I wonder how this animation would fare if instead of going with more and more abstract painters, the morphing would have continued on photography. Is there a fork? One branch of painters drawing soft faces in a more and more abstract fashion, a another branch where photography goes after different faces?
